Director / Producer / Writer
Blue Ice Pictures was originally founded in 2003 in New York City by Angela M. Gordon. She left her long term career as a high-powered telecommunications executive in New York City and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her dream career in the entertainment industry. The initial goal was to create and produce high quality, original roles with strong female leading characters, for herself and others, in films catering to a diverse and discerning audience. The company, however, has since expanded to include the creation of cutting edge video content including feature films, short films, commercials, music videos, corporate industrials, training videos and other quality visual media that is shown across all borders and on all platforms.
Blue Ice Pictures' films have premiered not only in America, but also internationally, at the American Embassy in Mbabane, Swaziland and in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Gold Lion International Film Festival. Other films have screened at festivals in London, England, Sal-Cape Verde, and Kigali Rwanda. Angela’s travels have cultivated relationships overseas and domestically to facilitate global co-production opportunities for forthcoming projects. Angela was one of 10 select filmmakers in the 2015 Canon Filmmaker Shootout Challenge. Angela is an active member in a variety of industry associations including Women in Film LA, Film Independent, The African Artist’s Association and Filmmaker's Alliance. She is currently VP of Communications and Executive Board Member in African Focus, Inc., a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and former Board Member of the Hollywood Black Chamber of Commerce. Other organizations that she has volunteered with include The United Way, The Support Network, Inc., and Upward Bound. She holds a B.A. in International Business/Finance from Howard University.
